Common uses
Corrugated polycarbonate is used on new builds and also on existing structures to match and extend a corrugated metal roof. It is commonly used on pergolas, carports, and lean-to structures attached to a house with corrugated roofing. Its ability to be curved also makes it a good fit for curved carport and verandah roofing. It's a popular choice for garden sheds and covered outdoor storage areas as well.
Which corrugated polycarbonate sheet is right for you?
| Profile | Warranty | Price range (incl. GST) |
|---|---|---|
| Calypso | 10 years | $31.00 to $129.00 |
| Calypso Ultra | 25 years | $41.00 to $164.00 |
| Laserlite | 25 years | $46.00 to $182.00 |

All four use the same quality sheet. Calypso, Calypso Ultra, and Laserlite differ only in warranty length. Comfort Cool carries the same 25-year warranty as Calypso Ultra and Laserlite, with an added reduced-glare finish and heat reduction coating.
Frequently Asked Questions
Corrugated polycarbonate is a rounded, wave-profile polycarbonate sheet designed to match standard corrugated metal roofing. It's lightweight, durable, and blocks 99.9% of harmful UV rays, making it a popular choice for pergolas, carports, patios, greenhouses, and outdoor living areas.
All four products use the same quality corrugated polycarbonate sheet. The difference between Calypso, Calypso Ultra, and Laserlite comes down to warranty length: Calypso carries a 10-year warranty, while Calypso Ultra and Laserlite both carry a 25-year warranty. Calypso Ultra Comfort Cool also carries a 25-year warranty, with an added reduced-glare finish and heat reduction coating.
Calypso Ultra Comfort Cool is a corrugated polycarbonate sheet with a reduced-glare finish and heat reduction coating, while still letting natural light through, backed by the same 25-year warranty as Calypso Ultra and Laserlite. It's a good option for outdoor living areas where comfort under the roof matters as much as UV protection.
Corrugated polycarbonate sheets are 840mm wide with a 755mm cover once installed and overlapped.
Corrugated polycarbonate is available in 1.8m, 2.4m, 3.0m, 3.6m, 4.2m, 4.8m, 5.4m, 6.0m, and 7.2m lengths.
Fix corrugated polycarbonate every second rib. In a high wind zone, fixing every rib is recommended. A fixing calculator is available on each product page to help work out how many fixings you'll need for your project.
Yes. Corrugated is the profile we'd recommend for curved roofing applications, out of the profiled polycarbonate range.
Across the Calypso, Calypso Ultra, and Laserlite ranges, corrugated polycarbonate comes in Clear, Grey, Bronze, and Opal. The Calypso Ultra Comfort Cool range only offers Frost and Platinum.
Yes. Corrugated polycarbonate is manufactured to match standard corrugated metal roofing profiles, so it can be installed alongside metal roofing without a mismatch. It must be laid over the metal roofing, not underneath, since heat build-up underneath can cause the sheet to warp.
Corrugated polycarbonate is easy to cut with a pair of tin snips or a circular saw fitted with a fine-toothed blade.
