Common uses
Greca polycarbonate is used on new builds and also to match and extend an existing Greca metal roof, typically on pergolas, carports, and covered outdoor living areas where a squarer, more contemporary roofline is wanted. It suits straight roof runs on new builds and renovations alike, and is a common choice for skylight sections cut into a Greca metal roof.
Which Greca polycarbonate sheet is right for you?
| Profile | Warranty | Price range (incl. GST) |
|---|---|---|
| Calypso | 10 years | $31.00 to $129.00 |
| Calypso Ultra | 25 years | $41.00 to $164.00 |
| Laserlite | 25 years | $46.00 to $182.00 |
| Calypso Ultra Comfort Cool | 25 years | $74.00 to $298.00 |
All four use the same quality sheet. Calypso, Calypso Ultra, and Laserlite differ only in warranty length. Comfort Cool carries the same 25-year warranty as Calypso Ultra and Laserlite, with an added reduced-glare finish.
Frequently Asked Questions
Greca polycarbonate has a squared, trapezoidal profile designed to match standard Greca metal roofing. It's lightweight and durable, blocking 99.9% of harmful UV rays, and suits pergolas, carports, patios, greenhouses, and outdoor living areas where a more contemporary roofline is wanted compared to corrugated's rounded wave shape.
All four products use the same quality corrugated polycarbonate sheet. The difference between Calypso, Calypso Ultra, and Laserlite comes down to warranty length: Calypso carries a 10-year warranty, while Calypso Ultra and Laserlite both carry a 25-year warranty. Calypso Ultra Comfort Cool also carries a 25-year warranty, with an added reduced-glare finish and heat reduction coating.
Calypso Ultra Comfort Cool is a corrugated polycarbonate sheet with a reduced-glare finish and heat reduction coating, while still letting natural light through, backed by the same 25-year warranty as Calypso Ultra and Laserlite. It's a good option for outdoor living areas where comfort under the roof matters as much as UV protection.
Greca polycarbonate sheets are 815mm wide with a 760mm cover once installed and overlapped.
Greca polycarbonate is available in the same length range as our other profiled polycarbonate: 1.8m, 2.4m, 3.0m, 3.6m, 4.2m, 4.8m, 5.4m, 6.0m, and 7.2m.
Fix Greca polycarbonate every second rib. In a high wind zone, fixing every rib is recommended. A fixing calculator is available on each product page to help you work out the number of fixings your project needs.
No. Out of our profiled polycarbonate range, only the corrugated profile is suited to curved roofing applications. Greca is designed for straight roof runs.
Across the Calypso, Calypso Ultra, and Laserlite ranges, Greca comes in Clear, Grey, Bronze, and Opal. The Calypso Ultra Comfort Cool range only offers Frost and Platinum.
Yes. Greca polycarbonate is manufactured to match standard Greca metal roofing profiles, allowing it to sit alongside metal roofing without a mismatch. Lay it over the metal roofing, not underneath, since heat build-up underneath can cause warping.
Greca polycarbonate cuts easily with a pair of tin snips or a circular saw fitted with a fine-toothed blade.
